Remnants turns one 🎂 Here’s how we’re celebrating
You may have discovered Remnants or Peo Vee while scrolling TikTok or seeing a Facebook ad — and might not even realize we’re still a baby brand. Every so often we hear, “Oh, I thought you were much bigger,” which always makes us smile. It’s nice to know we look put together, even when we don’t always feel that way (as brands or as people).
Peo Vee began a few years ago as a kind of creative outlet for myself — a place to connect with others who love making, mending, and reusing. The idea for Remnants came soon after, but between a full-time job and everything else in life, I couldn’t quite make it happen.
Then, a year ago, I was laid off from my corporate career. It felt like the window had opened, and I decided, why not finally pursue the thing I hadn’t stopped thinking about? On November 19th, Remnants officially launched.
From there, things took off. Sellers joined and took a chance on us while we were still new. When they sold things quickly, they added more, shared links, and helped grow something bigger than I imagined. It’s been a whirlwind, but also one of the most rewarding years of my life.
Remnants has grown into such an important part of our story — and Peo Vee’s mission — building community, sparking creativity, and proving that reuse can be beautiful.
This month, we’re celebrating our first birthday with three special surprises. Keep reading to see how we’re marking the milestone and how you can join the fun.
Let's get into it →
🎂 How We’re Celebrating One Year of Remnants
We couldn’t let our first birthday pass without a proper celebration so we’ve lined up three birthday “gifts,” all meant to thank you for helping us grow.
🪡 1. Free Workshops Through the End of the Year
As a thank-you to our community, we’re offering free creative reuse workshops through December. It’s a chance to learn new techniques, connect with other makers, and get inspired to keep creating sustainably. (Stay tuned for the schedule!) Join the community here to participate >>
🧵 2. $100 Remnants Shopping Code
Every project posted this month as part of our “Let’s Party” challenge enters you into a drawing for a $100 Remnants shopping code. The winner can use it to shop any seller on the site — a little extra creative freedom to stock up on supplies and inspiration.
🎁 3. $1 Vintage Gift Wrap Drop on November 19
Because what’s a birthday without presents? On our actual birthday, November 19, we’ll release a special collection of stunning vintage wrapping paper — each listing just $1. It’s our way of saying thank you for an incredible first year and for helping this creative reuse community shine.

Crewel Intentions: Discovering a Vintage Stitch I Didn’t Know I Loved
One day, an unfinished crewel project landed on my desk. Owls. As an owl enthusiast, I was already sold. But what really got me were the colors: a golden background, warm yellows and browns, the kind of palette that makes you feel nostalgic even if you didn’t live through the era. I decided to finish it myself. I’d never done any needlework before, but I loved every minute of it. The small, repetitive motions, the quiet focus, the way you can half-watch a show while your hands stay busy. For someone who struggles to sit still, it was the perfect craft.
As we celebrate out our first year, I keep coming back to how grateful I am for this community, for every seller who listed their first item, every shopper who found something special, and every maker who turned leftovers into art.
Thank you for helping us grow from an idea into something real, meaningful, and full of heart.
See you at the next swap, workshop, or craft table.
❤️Molly
